Description

Kerry Morrison is an experienced Aboriginal social worker, corporate speaker, counsellor, coach, supervisor, trainer, and facilitator. She delivers NDIS-funded services under Capacity Building – Social Work and Finding and Keeping a Job – Employment Counselling for individuals with self-managed or plan-managed funding.

Based in Australind, Western Australia, Kerry travels the country to work with individuals, families, and groups, as well as government agencies, private enterprises, not-for-profits, and Aboriginal Corporations across various industries.

Kerry combines her lived and professional experience and is a  passionate advocate for inclusion, support, and respect, Kerry connects with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences. She is an authentic role model who ‘walks the talk’, empowering others to build confidence, independence, and meaningful futures.

Kerry’s Honours thesis explored the school leaving experiences of young autistic adults, reinforcing her commitment to supporting smooth transitions into employment, further education, and independent living.

“Sometimes people need you to walk alongside them. Empowerment is the key; I don’t want to do for a person what they can do for themselves. I aim to help them grow while strengthening their sense of identity. For people to feel empowered, it’s important not to make goals too big, but breaking them into smaller, manageable steps enhances the voice that people already have and leads to successful outcomes.” – Kerry Morrison

Through Empowerment2Be, Kerry facilitates customised workshops for employers, schools, students, school leavers, and families, both in-person and online. She also runs two to three Accessible Walk or Wheel and Talk sessions each week in Australind, creating a safe and welcoming space for connection, conversation, and movement
