Job Description
Support Worker – Home-to-School Transport
KuCare is seeking a reliable and responsible Support Worker to provide safe morning transport for a child from their home in Bulimba to school in Manly.
The role is approximately 1 hour per shift, Monday to Friday, with flexibility available for workers who cannot commit to the full week.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect the child from their home and safely transport them to school.
- Ensure the child is safely secured in the vehicle using the appropriate seatbelt/restraint.
- Provide appropriate supervision and support during the journey.
- Communicate respectfully with the child and family.
- Ensure the child arrives at school safely and on time.
- Follow any instructions provided by the parent/guardian and KuCare support plan.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Report any incidents, concerns or changes to KuCare promptly.

- Ability to safely transport and supervise a child from home to school.

- Understanding of child safety and appropriate professional boundaries.
- Ability to follow the participant's support plan and family instructions.
- Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to unexpected situations.
- Basic understanding of incident reporting and workplace safety.
