Job Description

Operations & Business Growth Manager

SDA Global Group | Crestmead, Brisbane QLD

An Opportunity to Lead, Grow and Make a Meaningful Impact

SDA Global Group is seeking an experienced, commercially focused and results-driven Operations & Business Growth Manager to lead our daily operations, strengthen service delivery and drive the next stage of our business growth.

We are a growing NDIS service provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports that make a genuine difference in the lives of people with disability.

Our current services include Community Access, in-home support, garden and yard maintenance, and property maintenance. We are also actively expanding our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Individualised Living Options (ILO) services.

As a smaller organisation with ambitious growth plans, we offer an opportunity for an experienced leader to make a tangible impact, influence business direction and contribute directly to our long-term success.

We are looking for more than an operational manager. We are seeking a strategic thinker, capable leader and commercially minded professional who can translate opportunities into sustainable business growth.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for overseeing SDA Global's operational performance while implementing strategies to strengthen service delivery, increase revenue, expand our participant base and achieve long-term financial sustainability.

You will work collaboratively with an existing team member responsible for relationship development and participant engagement, ensuring that business development initiatives translate into successful participant intake and high-quality service delivery.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a balance of strategic thinking, operational expertise and practical implementation.

As SDA Global continues to expand, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress into a General Manager position, subject to demonstrated performance and organisational growth.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Service Delivery

  • Oversee daily operations across SDA Global's service portfolio.
  • Ensure services are delivered efficiently, safely and in accordance with participant needs and organisational standards.
  • Lead workforce planning, rostering oversight, staff performance and operational improvements.
  • Develop and implement systems, processes and procedures that support sustainable growth.

Business Development & Financial Performance

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase participant referrals, service utilisation and revenue.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing services and establish new revenue streams.
  • Drive the development and growth of SDA Global's SIL and ILO portfolio.
  • Monitor operational budgets, staffing costs, service profitability and key performance indicators.
  • Work collaboratively with the relationship development team to convert referrals into sustainable service arrangements.

NDIS Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain compliance with relevant NDIS legislation, Practice Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee incident management, risk management, participant safeguarding and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure operational policies, procedures and documentation are implemented consistently.
  • Support audit readiness and promote a strong culture of accountability and quality service delivery.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and foster a positive, accountable workplace culture.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with participants, families, Support Coordinators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Directors to deliver strategic priorities and organisational objectives.

Certifications

About You

We are seeking an experienced leader who combines strong operational capability with commercial awareness, initiative and a genuine commitment to the disability sector.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum five years' demonstrated experience in operations management.
  • Previous experience in an Operations Manager, General Manager or comparable senior leadership position.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the NDIS sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of NDIS Practice Standards, compliance obligations, quality assurance and safeguarding requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and develop teams.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, operational performance and business growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop stakeholder relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Personal Attributes

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Proactive, self-motivated and outcomes-focused.
  • Confident taking ownership of operational and commercial responsibilities.
  • Entrepreneurial in their approach, with the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working within a developing organisation.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of participant care while achieving financial sustainability.
  • A collaborative leader who can build a positive team culture and drive accountability.
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress into broader executive leadership responsibilities.

What We Offer

  • Career progression: A genuine opportunity to develop towards a General Manager position as the organisation expands.
